Great book, and a good choice as a change from my usual sci-fi and fantasy.

I saw this recommended on a website ages ago (here's to random websites) and decided to give it a go.

This is perhaps the quickest I've read a book in a long time. Partly because it was just good, gory and silly fun, but also because the style (in the form of interviews and personal statements) was easy to read and follow.

As we didn't revisit characters, it was occasionally difficult to understand what had happened to each of them, and some of the characters discussed were even more tricky to follow. Definitely something to learn here about signposting things clearly, and understanding where people might get a bit lost, if writing an unusual format.

This was the writers debut book, and it definitely makes me want to pick up more by him.
