Poetry - Between the lines [stop it]
A short poem today based on some of the complaints I see on some Facebook groups. When the complaint is so minor, is there something beneath the surface?
Dear fellow human
[I don’t know your name]
The minor annoyance you committed
[I once did the same]
Goes against my social convention
[Mother told me to refrain]
So don’t repeat what you did
[So now I’m deflecting the blame]
Or I’ll tell my friends
[Others always hear me complain]
Who I’m certain don’t know you
[My friendship for them is a strain]
But if we share social circles
[It takes me some time to explain]
By some unhappy coincidence
[I’m worried they think I’m insane]
I’ll write about that online too
